Not personally but they use to show us "slide shows" with photos of the mother ship. They disguised it pretty well making it look like a block of old buildings. Whod'a thought.

by zeroday inin the early 60's my family would pack up the chevy belair stationwagon and travel east from california to georgia to visit relatives.
2 adults and 4 children.
we never stopped at motels and would stop at a small town at a local park and have lunch.

When I was about 5 I was abducted by these strange aliens. Seriously. They looked normal but they weren't ya know. They made us go to these "meetings" all the time but like I never really "met" anyone butcept for more aliens. We were supposed to tell others how great the aliens were but I never did. I always tried to keep it a secret. We even had to go up to strangers houses and try to get them to come to our "meetings" but almost no one ever did. Wierdest thing though, I found this website and I swear it's like most of you have been among the aliens at some time too! Wierd huh?

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?
by Black Man ini often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

Years ago my brother and I picked up this hitch-hiker in Salt Lake Sitty. She immediately grabbed the CB radio and began gabbing with the BIG TRUCKERS. "They call me the Texis Staaaaaallion...I got balls but they ain't between mahh laeggs." On and on and on... Anyone that talked back to her got this long drawn out "Fourrrrrteeeeee Twwwoooooooo" in response.
Finally some driver agreed that she needed to be aridin' with him instead of "in that little four wheeler". He was several miles ahead of us and it took awhile for us to get there 'cause there's some big ol' mountains leaving Utah. Anyways, we pull up behind this truck at just the right angle so the driver can't see her getting out of our truck. She's barely out the door and we pull away. As she got in his line of sight we hear over the radio "Ohhhhh Shiiiiiiiitttttt". We come back with "Fourrrrrrrteeeeee Twwwooooooo". We heard that static ridden CBin' Texis Staaaaallion for hours afterwards across Wyoming.
I only just now looked up the actual trucker meaning of 42.
forty two, -- I understand and agree with you. ("Forty-Two, driver, I heard that idea, I did!")
And the point of all this? If 42 is in fact the meaning of all things then for me the meaning of all things is laughter. Forty-two yall. -

out in my yard this evening i noticed the cat in the hunkered down inquisitive/cautious pose so i just hadda go see what he found.
the snake was trying to get inside of the old railroad tie retaining wall so i could only see the back half.

LoL @ lonelysheep ... When I saw the thing that's what I intended to do but he got away before I could get back with the shovel. perhaps it's just as well ; I read several places online that killing a snake can attract others! Sure don't need that.
There is a small private lake behind my house and some people have said that it's "infested" with snakes. The neighbors that actually live here though say it's rare to see one and people fish and swim in the lake.
Anyways, the cat is going to be ok with some time and antibiotics. Vet said it was definately not a snake bite but probably got in a fight with a dog/cat. He's too old for this.

Addams Family and other TV Shows
by jws ini recently picked up a copy of the original addams family tv show on dvd because i loved the movies, but never saw the original tv shows because my parents would not let me for jw reasons (presumably for demonism, witchcraft, etc.).
i'm about 12 episodes in and i don't know why this was banned.
ok, there's thing (a hand/arm), and a bear skin rug that growls.

I guess because my mom was the jw and my dad not, we got to watch most weekly shows but not movies . Missed alot of Charlie Brown specials but the annual "It's A Charlie Brown Memorial" was mandatory.
Then there was this one which was off limits. Shirley some of you remember it?
